Nice Blog Eric...now I'm going to read it.
EDIT : After reading it, I'm not quite sure I understand correctly...
Why are they gonna save 900K$ by putting him on waivers and leaving him at home ? |

Does the NHLPA realize that the players (Gomez/Redden) would be worst off because of the "protection" the PA tried to procur them? They could be stuck in the AHL or waived at a time that would be harder for them to go elsewhere...

really, that's just what it is. If you waive a player, you save a certain percentage of his contract. In the past, you saved it all on the cap. rules have changed. pretty much so you can't bury a contract in the minors |

How many players do the Habs have under contract?
50 is the limit.....buying out Gomez now might allow them to sign Kristo once his season is over and that will make Pecafanfan VERY happy. |

EE what are your thoughts on Meehan putting Subban in the same category as Hall, Segein, Eberle, E Kane, J Skinner??
In other words,, what do you think of him looking for a contract in the 5.5 -6 million range? |
